Rita + Michael | NYC Engagement Photographer

Working with Rita and Michael was terrific! It’s always such a pleasure to be around two people who make each other genuinely, palpably happy. A really great session oscillates between all of us hanging out and laughing, to it being as though I’ve completely disappeared and it’s just the couple alone in a moment, in love.

We met at the Smyth Hotel in TriBeCa, where Michael had proposed. From there we walked around the Hudson River Greenway, taking in One WTC (Freedom Tower) as a great backdrop. After that we took a cab over to the Meatpacking District for a few snapshots, stopped into the gorgeous bar Revel (ivy-covered brick walls AND a massive skylight!) before finishing up the shoot on the High Line. Rita was wearing heels the entire time, and that makes her a champion.
