I love love, and these two are just doing it right. When two people are truly head-over-heels mad for each other, you can always tell. The whole room lights up with it. Usually when couples request a studio session for their engagement photos as opposed to one out in the world, I’m aware that I have to think creatively about posing, since there are no environmental props to interact with – e.g. “sit on that bench,” “hold hands across that table,” or “go hang out with that statue.” Ok, that last one hasn’t happened yet, but I daydream about it when I’m walking around at the 14th St/8th Ave subway station, which has those tiny adorable bronze statues everywhere…

Anyway,  with Victor and Kasia I didn’t have to worry – they’re so in love, they radiate affection for each other and are so comfortable together that a blank, seamless white is actually the perfect backdrop: nothing to distract from that beautiful positive energy. They’re getting married in Poland, but wanted some engagement photos done at home in NYC for their Save The Date cards. We met at my studio and spent an hour having some seriously well-dressed fun!
